From the Premier Tarot Publisher Since 1968, U.S. Games Systems, Inc. publishes the original and only authorized edition of the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck. Other popular, certified award-winning tarot decks published by U.S. Games Systems include: Crowley Thoth, Universal Waite, Ethereal Visions Illuminated Tarot, Hermetic, Aquarian, Crow, Goddess, Morgan-Greer, Golden Tarot, and Spiritsong Tarot. They also offer oracle, affirmation and inspirational gifts.

In 1909, artist Pamela Colman Smith's involvement with the Order of the Golden Dawn led to a commission to create a 78-card tarot deck that was the first to include full pictorial scenes for the Minor Arcana. Pamela's mystical influences are evident throughout the art. The Rider Tarot Deck, also known as the Waite Tarot, Rider-Waite Tarot, and Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, are registered trademarks of U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

Popular artist Ciro Marchetti has crafted the evocative Tarot Grand Luxe out of his own creative imaginings. Based primarily on the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot system, the lavish details in Tarot Grand Luxe also incorporate references to the Tarot de Marseilles, as well as other historic archetypes. In the illustrated booklet, Ciro describes the personal perspectives that inspired each card.

Ciro Marchetti's digital artwork has become a standout in the world of metaphysical illustration. He pulls details from a myriad of visual sources, then merges them flawlessly, adding his own "personal twists" along the way. The result is a very polished finished product that maintains the vague sense of mystery necessary to convey esoteric information. For this deck, he draws on the traditional forms of tarot, especially Pamela Colman Smith and the Tarot de Marseilles. He takes flight, however, from that substantial foundation and makes his way through the growing complexity of tarot imagery. The result is a visually lush deck of cards which remain thought-provoking despite their exquisite finished form. This is a deck that experienced tarot readers won't want to miss. Novices will find the inclusive images inviting, and Marchetti's tarot insight will certainly point them in the right direction for further exploration.

Tarot Grand Luxe is Ciro Marchetti's favorite deck, and U.S. Games has produced a genuine tribute to the out-of-print original limited edition. This is a gorgeous mass-market publication—almost a twin to its self-published sibling. The thing I've loved best about reading with the Tarot Grand Luxe is the way the cards interact—symbols meet one another across cards to create wonderful aha moments. I began discovering these symbolic connections by turning over pairs. My process is to go through the deck fairly quickly, not stopping to meditate. I just take a good look at each pair, reshuffle and start over—the stories reveal themselves. At times, I've also found that the colors and patterns in Ciro Marchetti's artwork suggest something surprising—an answer or message originating outside the traditional parameters of the card's meaning. And while this observation could be applied to most tarot decks, I've found that the Tarot Grand Luxe is especially rich and evocative compared to many other decks in my collection.
